Learn how this product has met the requirements of the DPG Standard by exploring the indicators below.

SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) — Target 16.10, public access to information. The DSP enables institutions to make geospatial data they already hold openly accessible to the public through a web map with territorial filters, indicators, record details and bulk data downloads, with no login or registration required. It turns data that would otherwise remain in internal databases into information that the general public, partners and researchers can explore and download in open formats. SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land) — Targets 13.2 and 15.2/15.3. By making geospatial information on rural properties' land use, native vegetation and other environmental features openly accessible through interactive maps, indicators and downloadable datasets, the RER DSP increases transparency and enables governments, researchers, civil society and other stakeholders to access and reuse environmental data. This strengthens the evidence base for integrating climate and environmental considerations into policies, planning and monitoring, supporting Target 13.2. The platform can also support the identification of forest areas, changes in native vegetation and land-use pressure, as well as connecting these information to specific rural properties, contributing to sustainable forest management and efforts to halt deforestation (Target 15.2). It also contributes to the identification of areas requiring restoration and actions to combat land degradation (Target 15.3). As a domain-agnostic platform, these capabilities can be adapted to different geospatial datasets and environmental policy contexts. SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) — Targets 17.6 and 17.7, technology transfer and knowledge sharing. The RER DSP was designed to facilitate technology transfer and international cooperation by enabling governments and organizations to freely adopt, adapt and reuse a proven data-sharing solution. Rather than being tied to Brazil's institutional or territorial structure, it can be configured for different countries, administrative levels, geospatial datasets, indicators and environmental contexts without changing its source code. Its open-source model, bilingual technical documentation, guided configuration and demonstration environment reduce technical barriers to adoption and enable institutions to evaluate and implement the platform using their own data and infrastructure. By sharing both the technology and the knowledge required to deploy it, the RER DSP supports the dissemination of environmentally sound technologies (Target 17.7) and international cooperation and knowledge sharing on science, technology and innovation (Target 17.6).
