DPGA Annual Members Meeting in Brasilia, November 18, 2025
The Digital Public Goods Alliance is a global community of national governments, multilaterals and international non-and for profit organisations with a shared commitment to digital cooperation and the utilisations of digital public goods to improve the well-being of people and the planet.
Recognised for their leadership in the DPG ecosystem, members contribute significantly to the discovery, development, use of, and investment in DPGs. They do so by advancing the DPG Roadmap commitments they make upon joining the DPGA, and by convening regularly—both virtually and in person—to foster meaningful relationships, enable multilateral knowledge exchange, and catalyse collaborations that advance shared priorities.

Day-to-day management is overseen by The DPGA Secretariat, who are responsible for the operations of the DPGA. It is led by a CEO who manages the DPGA Secretariat as an independent entity accountable to the Governance Board. Read more about our governance here.
As we approach 2030, it has become abundantly clear that high-quality, open-source digital solutions play a critical role in the attainment of the sustainable development goals. While global challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic have brought significant hardship, we have also seen firsthand that digital public goods have enabled governments to swiftly adapt and implement innovative digital solutions that are helping them respond to immediate health and social protection needs.
From improving access to financial services to strengthening healthcare systems, digital public goods have a proven track record of driving meaningful, lasting impact. They enable governments and organisations to take control of their digital transformation through open, accessible, and adaptable solutions. Yet, there is still more to be done.
The DPGA’s 5-year strategy—developed in consultation with dozens of organisations and open-source experts—sets the direction for what the alliance aims to achieve.
To build trust and confidence in the digital solutions that governments and organisations choose to use, the DPGA stewards both the DPG Standard and the DPG Registry. The DPG Standard defines what qualifies as a digital public good, setting clear criteria around openness, privacy, security, and other core attributes. The DPG Registry applies this Standard, serving as the only list of verified digital public goods. Together, they enable governments and organisations to discover and adopt solutions with confidence.
The DPGA’s 5-year strategy outlines four operational targets designed to prioritise, coordinate, and align the efforts of members and stakeholders. Learn more about these targets and how the DPGA is advancing them.

By the end of 2028, 50 countries have leveraged digital public goods to design, launch and scale at least one component of their digital public infrastructure stack, in a manner that is safe and inclusive, and enables one or more priority use cases.

State Of The Digital Public Goods Ecosystem Report
2025 was a year of significant growth for the DPG ecosystem. With over 220 DPGs verified and the DPGA reaching 50 members, the ecosystem reached a new scale—demonstrating that shared, open approaches can remain resilient and effective even as geopolitical uncertainty, funding pressures, and digital divides intensify.

Annual Members Meeting
The Digital Public Goods Alliance concluded its fourth Annual Members Meeting (AMM)— its first ever in South America—with three energising days of collaboration, shared learning, and collective momentum. Taking place in Brasília, this year’s AMM served as a capstone to 2025’s steady global progress and growing interest in digital public goods.
The DPGA Secretariat leads the creation and maintenance of foundational components vital to the DPG-ecosystem and facilitates alignment among member organisations and DPG product communities.
