Pix directly addresses SDG 4 (Quality Education) by providing an accessible platform that democratizes digital skills assessment and development for all citizens. Through its adaptive testing system based on the European DigComp framework, Pix tackles indicator 4.4.1 by enhancing ICT skills across all user levels from beginners to experts. The platform supports target 4.c by offering specialized tools for teachers through Pix Orga, enabling them to create customized assessments, monitor student progress, and improve their own digital competencies. As shown in projects across Africa and Europe, Pix helps increase the supply of qualified digitally-literate teachers who can better prepare students for the digital world. For SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), Pix addresses targets 8.6 and 8.b by equipping youth with essential digital skills required in today's workforce. This is demonstrated through its deployment in youth employment initiatives across 42 countries, including partnerships with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie in 26 Francophone Centers of Employability across 18 African countries, the World Bank's "Digital Skills For Africa" project assessing digital competencies in 10 countries, and the UNHCR/Vodafone Foundation "Instant Network Schools" initiative supporting refugee education in Mozambique and Tanzania. The platform's collaboration with employment services in multiple regions, such as Barcelona for job seekers and Belgian public entities for civil servants, shows how Pix creates clear pathways to employment while contributing to comprehensive youth employment strategies that prepare young people for the digital economy.
Pix forks must deploy an instance of PixEditor (CMS) and LCMS (API). These applications are open source here: https://github.com/1024pix/pix-editor DataDog and Brevo usage can be deactivated. AWS S3 is necessary for several functionalities; however, we are not coupled with AWS. Any S3-compatible solution can be used.

In matters of data privacy and security, the GIP Pix complies with the legal standards. A "Frequently Asked Questions" (FAQ) document answering general questions about our data processing policies was produced and is available for the external public (Pix Data Processing Q&A: https://cloud.pix.fr/s/jYG4gs33XAcbgy4). The organisational and technical measures taken in order to ensure the security of our applications are detailed in a specific document (Security principles of the Pix Information Systems Security Policy https://cloud.pix.fr/s/7pNp2bpzyrxjsjG). All those measures are mentioned in our contractual documentation framework (Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement https://pix.org/en/personal-data-protection-policy). It includes logical measures (e.g. a logical access control of the premises), physical measures (e.g. the implementation of antivirus or equivalent protection system) and organizational measures (e.g. Cybersecurity insurance contract including assistance service). Content is collected stored and distributed.
Pix does not allow users to publish content visible to other users. There is no forum, no comment section, no community feed. Challenge reporting ("signalement") is present; learners can flag individual challenge questions as problematic (unclear, broken, offensive, incorrect), categorized by element type. These reports flow to Pix's editorial/content team for review and correction. It's content quality moderation of platform-authored content, not user-to-user content moderation.
